Mr. Timothy Lavallee, P.E.

President/Senior Engineer

     

 

Timothy Lavallee has over 15 years experience in project management and engineering in the acoustics and air quality fields.  Mr. Lavallee holds a master’s degree from Tufts University in civil engineering and environmental health, and a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in mechanical engineering. Before founding LPES, Inc., Mr. Lavallee worked at NASA Langley Research Center as an acoustics specialist before moving to an environmental firm to head their noise and air quality services branch.  Mr. Lavallee is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Society of American Military Engineers and has numerous professional and technical publications in acoustics. He is well versed in environmental and transportation acoustics, noise prediction and control, NEPA and air quality. In addition to these core competencies, Mr. Lavallee is proficient in many technical support areas, including computer programming, data reduction, digital signal processing and Geographical Information Systems. Mr. Lavallee is licensed to practice engineering in the Commonwealth of Virginia and state of Maryland (Resume).

Tim is married with three daughters. He enjoys tennis and is a member in good standing of the Tidewater Beekeepers Association. Tim's sister, a licensed homebirth midwife, owns and operates Coastal Birth Services in Charleston, SC.
